Privacy Policy

This page explains what Waypoint collects when you use this site, why we collect it, and the controls you have. Plain English first. One placeholder remains, the hosting provider name, which will be added once confirmed.

Who we are

Waypoint is operated by Waypoint Technology Ltd (“Waypoint”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 17269788). The data controller is Waypoint Technology Ltd, contactable at [email protected]. Registered office: Gardners Ground, Dock Lane, Beaulieu, United Kingdom, SO42 7YJ.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist

The waitlist form on this site asks for: your first name, work email, company name, team size, specialism, and the tools you currently use. The Operations Gap Report download asks for your first name and email only.

We also record the entry point you came in through (landing page, calculator, or report gate) and the timestamp of submission so we can route the right follow-up.

Anti-abuse signals

To stop automated submissions we apply a short-lived rate limit keyed to your IP address and use a hidden honeypot field. The IP is held in a transient cache for up to 10 minutes and is not stored alongside your submission.

Analytics & cookies

If a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) measurement ID is configured for this site, GA4 loads in consent-denied mode by default. No analytics cookies are written and no pageview data is shared until you press Accept on the cookie banner. Your choice is remembered locally in localStorage.waypoint_consent on your browser; clearing your browser storage resets it.

We do not use third-party CAPTCHA, ad-tracking pixels, or session-replay tools on this site.

Why we collect it

  • To run the waitlist. We use your details to send you the founding member updates you signed up for and, where relevant, the Operations Gap Report PDF.
  • To pick the founding members. Team size, specialism, and tools help us identify operators who are a fit for the founding member group.
  • To improve the site. If you opt in to analytics, aggregated GA4 data tells us which pages and entry points are useful.
  • To prevent abuse. Rate-limit and honeypot signals stop spam without making you fill in a CAPTCHA.

Legal basis

Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR we rely on:

  • Legitimate interest for the B2B waitlist communications you requested when you submitted the form, and for anti-abuse measures on the form.
  • Consent for analytics cookies, given via the cookie banner and revocable at any time.

Who we share it with

We use the following processors to deliver this site and its emails. Each operates under its own privacy terms; we only share the minimum needed.

  • Bento (bentonow.com/privacy), stores your waitlist record and sends the welcome emails you signed up for.
  • Google Analytics 4 (policies.google.com/privacy), only loaded after you accept analytics in the cookie banner.
  • Kinsta (kinsta.com/legal/privacy-policy), runs the web server that hosts this page; standard server logs are kept for a short window for security and debugging.

We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to advertisers.

International transfers

Some of the processors above are based in the United States. Where applicable, transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Waitlist record: until you ask us to remove it, or until the founding member group is closed and we no longer need it, whichever comes first.
  • Email engagement data in Bento: standard Bento retention windows apply.
  • Server & rate-limit logs: rolling 14 days.
  • Analytics: GA4 retention is set to the shortest available window (currently 2 months).

Your rights

If UK or EU data-protection law applies to you, you can:

  • Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Object to processing or ask us to restrict it.
  • Withdraw consent for analytics at any time, clear the cookie banner choice in your browser, or set Do Not Track.
  • Unsubscribe from any waitlist email using the link in the email footer.
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
